The Pemberton Meadows house sits on a flat, very soft ground. The structure is comprised of a light wood framed roof, supported by exposed timber steel post and beams on cast-in-place architectural concrete. The slender steel columns disappear in front of the curtain wall windows.
A continuous insulation layer embedded inside the concrete walls permit to achieve high performance energy requirements, and thermal breaks have been concealed to give a feeling of continuous steel beams going through the wall.
